EXPERIENCE
Mr. Sweet has represented a wide variety of clients from across Nevada, California, and the nation. Mr. Sweet’s primary clientele includes individuals and businesses on a local, regional, and national level, as well as a variety of public agencies. During his time with Gunderson Law Firm, Mr. Sweet has represented business owners, commercial and residential property owners, tenants, landlords, contractors, real estate brokers and agents, developers, commercial and personal lenders and borrowers, and local public agencies, including fire departments, police departments, and school districts. Mr. Sweet has appeared before state and federal courts and labor arbitration panels across Nevada and California.
Prior to joining Gunderson Law Firm, Mr. Sweet worked as a law clerk with the Gunderson Law Firm and as an intern for the Honorable Judge Janet Berry. During law school, Mr. Sweet was a Note Editor for the Journal of Science and Technology Law and a recipient of the Boston University School of Law Scholarship
PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Mr. Sweet is a member of the board of directors for Washoe Legal Services, a non-profit organization founded in 1965 to provide civil legal services at no charge to Washoe County residents who cannot otherwise access the legal system to protect their basic needs. Mr. Sweet is also the founder and president of the University of Washington Alumni Association Reno and a member of The Prospector’s Club.
Mr. Sweet is a member of the American Bar Association, the Young Lawyers Division of the Nevada Bar Association, and the Washoe County Bar Association.
